How We Got The Porn Industry’s Secrets To Bottoming Without Pain。
We sent a team of researchers to interview a truckload of gay male erotica industry folk—cameramen, scouts, producers, directors and performers。 The result is a fascinating, behind-the-scenes, no-holds-barred look into the industry and the secrets they use to get performers to bottom without pain or messy scenes。 The main sections:

1: What You Can Learn From Porn Star Bottoms。
A fascinating view of bottoming in the porn industry—how gay erotica performers prepare for a shoot, how they can take huge tops without any pain (even if it’s their first time) and how they stay loose despite day-long shoots。 If you ever had a question about how the porn industry works, this is the place to find answers—from how much money porn stars make to what percent are heterosexual (shocking!) to their favorite brand of douches。

2: Free Your Mind, Your Butt Will Follow。
How To Bottom Like A Porn Star: The Ultimate Guide To Gay Sex is part porn exposé, part how-to from the latest gay sex research。 In this chapter, we’ll look at how “Anticipatory pain” and a perceived loss of masculinity can put your butt in a headlock。 We’ll show you how to resolve the emotional blocks that stop you from trying or enjoying anal sex with other gay men。

3: Why It Feels Like You’re Being Impaled By A Fence Post。
From our urologist and colon-rectal experts who specialize in gay male sex: It isn’t just your sphincter causing all that pain; it’s your “S-curve” as well as involuntary puborectal contractions。 Learn your anatomical structure so you can make the tips in this book work better。

_How to Bottom Like a Porn Star_ by Woody Miller receives 4 stars from me based on the information alone。 This is an excellent read and explains clearly how to bottom pain-free。 At the same time, it is an honest view at the porn industry regarding bottoming。 I liked this honest approach; however, his tone might upset some readers。 He makes no apologies for what his statements。 While if I were in an argument with him, that tone would piss me off, I agree with him so I liked his force。I particular _How to Bottom Like a Porn Star_ by Woody Miller receives 4 stars from me based on the information alone。 This is an excellent read and explains clearly how to bottom pain-free。 At the same time, it is an honest view at the porn industry regarding bottoming。 I liked this honest approach; however, his tone might upset some readers。 He makes no apologies for what his statements。 While if I were in an argument with him, that tone would piss me off, I agree with him so I liked his force。I particularly liked his advice on staying clean by eating properly。 The information in this book is valuable。 Now for my negative comment: At times it feels a bit repetitious。 He tends to repeat his ideas to make sure they are understood。 While for me it was annoying, I can't help but wonder if this is because he knows his audience。Recommended: For tops, verses, and bottoms。 Yes。 It's alright。 。。。more

With good advice, this book does indeed show how being a bottom works and what you can do to make it easier。 With an open mind, the author does explain what porn stars do and you can make your own choice based on the presented information。The author includes a section in the book with questions and answers from people who read some of his previous articles。 His attitude displays him as a direct and cruel person, showing no remorse to people daring to ask silly questions。 He feels the need to bra With good advice, this book does indeed show how being a bottom works and what you can do to make it easier。 With an open mind, the author does explain what porn stars do and you can make your own choice based on the presented information。The author includes a section in the book with questions and answers from people who read some of his previous articles。 His attitude displays him as a direct and cruel person, showing no remorse to people daring to ask silly questions。 He feels the need to brag about how good he is as an expert。 He also feels the need to repeat things throughout the book to make sure that things get stuck in your mind。Overall, if you can ignore the author's hostile attitude, he may actually have something good to say。 。。。more

Downloaded this as a pdf from a torrent site, just because it caught my eye。 A couple of useful tips - especially about fibre in the diet, which I've tried to get more of this year, and about relaxing your sphincter muscles - but it's really aimed at absolute newbies。 Also the tone is annoying, and the dude starts answering agony uncle questions he got on his podcast or something that have nothing to do with the main subject matter。it's alright, basically。 Downloaded this as a pdf from a torrent site, just because it caught my eye。 A couple of useful tips - especially about fibre in the diet, which I've tried to get more of this year, and about relaxing your sphincter muscles - but it's really aimed at absolute newbies。 Also the tone is annoying, and the dude starts answering agony uncle questions he got on his podcast or something that have nothing to do with the main subject matter。it's alright, basically。 。。。more

I am not sure what to think of this book。 Several things regarding bottoming and all I had already figured out myself, however its advice not to use douches and enemas were new。But the whole "relax" message should be standard if you ask me。I liked what the author shortly stated about bottom shaming and why it exists (because of the fear of effeminization)。 However, I would have preferred if he had not only talked about the two boxers he knows that like to bottom, but would have had an effeminate I am not sure what to think of this book。 Several things regarding bottoming and all I had already figured out myself, however its advice not to use douches and enemas were new。But the whole "relax" message should be standard if you ask me。I liked what the author shortly stated about bottom shaming and why it exists (because of the fear of effeminization)。 However, I would have preferred if he had not only talked about the two boxers he knows that like to bottom, but would have had an effeminate guy who likes to top。Afterwards I got a few new things about anal anatomy, but apart from that…I think a problem of this author and his comments in his blog are not so much what he says, at least for me, but rather his tone。 I get it that you sometimes want to just shout at people but you should try to limit as much as possible/necessary。Well, anyhow, I learned some stuff about the dangers of poppers and I have to say that taking drugs to dull the pain while taking it up the ass is already pretty dumb, but using ice for that is probably the dumbest thing you could do。 And I will have to see whether these "Kegel" exercises will do what this book promises。This sphincter desensitization was not really new to me, and probably is only for those very anxious about bottoming。" Also good: The author doesn't just say "eat food with this or that" but gives examples。But it took him nearly three quarters of the book to finally get to the chapter on getting your ass clean。 If I had been the author I would have at least mentioned that prior to telling his readers to finger themselves。 Even his "there is no shit stored in the anus" comments won't reassure too many people。And the author's recipe for stainless bottoming is eating a high-fiber diet (kale, lentils, pears, bananas, apples, brown rice, white beans, I already ate some of that stuff regularly) and if that is not enough, use water and an ear syringe to clean up。。。 And what about the smell? There could be smell left。Well, there are some new things here that could be helpful to me。 l will have to see。 And these other books advertised here。。。。 I don't know, do dating books ever help anyone? 。。。more

Picked this one up because the title made me laugh。 Wasn’t sure whether it was a joke, a prank, or a serious book。 Turns out it was a little of all three, and I ended up taking it more seriously than I expected。 The author does a remarkable job balancing the super-serious with the super-hysterical。 Should be high-school sex-ed for gay boys。Other reviewers observed the change in tone when the author reviews emails from dissenting readers。 I agree: It’s jarring, defensive, snippy, and borderline o Picked this one up because the title made me laugh。 Wasn’t sure whether it was a joke, a prank, or a serious book。 Turns out it was a little of all three, and I ended up taking it more seriously than I expected。 The author does a remarkable job balancing the super-serious with the super-hysterical。 Should be high-school sex-ed for gay boys。Other reviewers observed the change in tone when the author reviews emails from dissenting readers。 I agree: It’s jarring, defensive, snippy, and borderline offensive。 A big turn-off in the middle of an otherwise conversational and lighthearted book。 If the author needs to keep the defensiveness, he should remove the direct responses (too personal) and instead write a couple simple ¶s justifying his position, then move on。 Entirely too much time devoted to an emotional rant that needn’t concern new readers。 。。。more

Is there a way to recommend this book without incriminating myself? Probably not。 But I *don't* care as I had a lot of fun reading this。 Learn about the reality of bottoming - and no, it's more than the one-two fingers up the butt。 And the feeling of having another man's dick up your butt isn't how our beloved M/M books make it out to be。It's more like the feeling of crapping yourself。(I have more respect for Yhalen from Bloodraven)The ebook is kind of expensive, especially for such a quick read Is there a way to recommend this book without incriminating myself? Decent book told from the gay male experience。 As a bi-male I had found it very informative, a little long in some area and short on others。One of my soapboxes is got to be that there is not enough education material about anal sex。 You can watch 100 anal videos of various groupings and they won't show the prep or in-between happenings of the experience but a supercut of it all。 This book does at least acknowledge the difference between reality and what happens on a video。I can also state that s Decent book told from the gay male experience。 As a bi-male I had found it very informative, a little long in some area and short on others。One of my soapboxes is got to be that there is not enough education material about anal sex。 You can watch 100 anal videos of various groupings and they won't show the prep or in-between happenings of the experience but a supercut of it all。 This book does at least acknowledge the difference between reality and what happens on a video。I can also state that sense an anus is the same in humans this book can also be useful to woman, they just don't have a prostate。 So I read from both perspectives。Two big takeaways from this book:Anal prep - a recommendation for cleaning yourself out with something other than an enema bottle。 I have actually purchased something close to it at an adult store for about 3 times as much。Fiber - something that should be part of your diet and keeps your system clean, promotes generally health bowel movements and thus better anal sex。There is a very long chapter regarding the use of various drugs an anal sex and in my opinion goes overboard in including large pieces of an online discussion regarding it。Also there is a discussion regarding the psychological aspects of being penetrated。 Not important to me because it feels so good, but a stumbling block for many。 。。。more

I may or may not be using some of the tips in the future。 I may or may not have come away with some useful information。 I (a)may or may not (gonna) share this information。 And that leaves MM romance - an area of interest to me。 Did it affect my views of the sexy times in my favourite romance novel? No, not really。 When I'm reading I want to be carried away with the moment - sure I want it to be believable to a certain extent but, in the same way you never hear about stinky socks and farting, I don't need to hear about my butt virgins doing anal exercises for weeks before hand before getting down and dirty。 Okay, that's perhaps a simplistic view, but I'm writing a review, not an essay。So what did I think all in all? Honestly - there was some interesting information and advice。 A lot of it is common sense though, personally I'd much rather read the Stallion's take on bottoming。 It sounds much more reasonable and I agree with everything he said。The humour in the book was just annoying, I didn't care so much for the author's letters to his readers, it was VERY repetitive at times and it could have been half the size。 In my opinion the porn star title is just trying to amass publicity (well done, it worked) and the actual, useful advice could have been condensed into a book quarter of the size。Do I regret reading it? No。Do I prefer the Stallion's tips? Yes。Would I read it again? No。。。。well except for the advice I highlighted, obviously。。。。;) So there you have it, that's what four unicorns think about Bottoming Like a Porn Star。。。but what do you think?? 。。。more

It's important to keep in mind this book is for people who would like to bottom, but, for various reasons, are scared to try it。 The author addresses some of those reasons to reassure the reader that all will be okay。 While I found some of the facts and tips quite interesting, I also thought the process sounded like a lot of work。 Of course, after all that work, "It's time for a penis", so that was good。 Some of the facts and tips focused on anatomy and how the body works, others focused on the It's important to keep in mind this book is for people who would like to bottom, but, for various reasons, are scared to try it。 The author addresses some of those reasons to reassure the reader that all will be okay。 While I found some of the facts and tips quite interesting, I also thought the process sounded like a lot of work。 Of course, after all that work, "It's time for a penis", so that was good。 Some of the facts and tips focused on anatomy and how the body works, others focused on the types of foods that are better for more efficient "waste elimination" to reduce the "ick factor"。I also appreciated the section about getting past stereotypes and doing away with labels, although I wondered how many people really believe those stereotypes, especially to the point of it affecting their ability to bottom during sex。Getting past the pain was the main part that seemed like a lot of work。 If it helps someone enjoy bottoming, though, more power to them。 I think I would have given up if it took that long to prepare for the big event。My favorite part of the book included interesting tidbits about the porn industry。 I knew there was a lot of editing, but I had no idea how long a typical shoot was。 It gave me a new respect for the actors if they can even kind of look like they are enjoying themselves after all that time。 Also, they use how much lube?! One thing I didn't like was how the author went off on the drugs in general tangent。 The section with the letters really irritated me; the responses to his readers were incredibly rude and arrogant。 Even if I agreed with some of his points, he did a horrible job of selling them。 Bludgeoning people with his opinions and running over their counterarguments with so little respect was not the way to persuade anyone。So, I learned some good stuff about anatomy, diet, and how porn is made, but I was a little disappointed at how most of the information was presented。 How is this pertinent to M/M romance stories? Not in any way I'd want to read about。 Leave me my fantasies, thank you very much。 Previously posted as part of a group review on 。。。more

As a M/F romance reader turned M/M romance reader, I was kind of shocked to see how often sex in gay romance is criticized for being unrealistic。 Het sex in het romance isn't realistic, but it's not mentioned nearly as much by readers and reviewers。 With HTBLAPS I was hoping to get a dose of 'reality' when it comes to the sex I read about the most。If this is the reality, I don't want to read about it。 Please stick to the 1-2-3-and-GO! method we all know and love。 With added blow job and rimming, As a M/F romance reader turned M/M romance reader, I was kind of shocked to see how often sex in gay romance is criticized for being unrealistic。 Het sex in het romance isn't realistic, but it's not mentioned nearly as much by readers and reviewers。 With HTBLAPS I was hoping to get a dose of 'reality' when it comes to the sex I read about the most。If this is the reality, I don't want to read about it。 Please stick to the 1-2-3-and-GO! method we all know and love。 With added blow job and rimming, of course。 Please & thank you。The process for completely pain free bottoming is a very involved one。 One that would take weeks before they are ready for the penis。 I'm sure it works, the advice seems sound, so the guide would be more for someone who really, really wants to bottom with their partner but is absolutely terrified。 I can see the use, but I don't think it's for everybody。Okay, okay, I guess I also read this to learn about the porn。 There were some interesting tidbits (some that made me a little sad) and this was my favorite part of the book。 I guess I need to find a book that only talks about porn star secrets。This was a fun one to read together。 See what Justin, Sunny & Lori thought about bottoming like a porn star。 。。。more
